Privacy Policy

CareCircle is a South African platform where families book trusted local help — kids & family care, senior care, pet care, house sitting, handyman services, caterers and venue hire. We operate the website care-circle.life and the Android app that wraps it. For questions about this policy or your personal information, contact Rene Kruger at info@care-circle.life.

• Account details — your name and email address when you create an account.
• Provider details — service providers provide their name & surname, company name, address and ID or business registration number. This is shown only to the site owner for verification, never to the public.
• Bookings — the date, time, service, and the name, phone number and notes you give when booking, so the provider can contact you.
• Venue requests — your event details, guest count and messages when you request a venue, plus your reviews of venues you attended.
• Venue photos — photos providers upload of their venues. These are stored privately and shown only through temporary, access- controlled links.
• Favourites and conversations — your saved providers and private messages exchanged with service providers.
• Appointment forms — information a provider requests about a booked service and the answers you choose to submit. Only share information needed for the appointment.
• Membership records — we keep a record of when providers subscribe, for administration.

• To show your listing to families and let them book you (providers).
• To pass your booking details to the provider you booked (customers).
• To verify providers and manage the platform (site owner).
• To send essential emails, such as notifying the owner when a provider joins.
• To keep bookings from clashing and keep an audit trail of venue changes.
• To save your favourite providers and exchange messages and appointment details with the relevant provider.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing emails.

Provider subscriptions are processed by Paystack, our payment provider. Your card details go directly to Paystack and are never stored on CareCircle. Booking payments for hourly services are arranged directly between you and the provider, outside the app — we never handle that money. Online payments for venue bookings are not currently enabled.

• Families see providers' public profiles: name, service, description and rates.
• Providers see the booking details needed to do the work: your name, phone number and notes.
• The site owner sees provider verification details and platform records.
• Only the participants can read service-provider conversations and appointment forms. Your favourites are private to your account.

We keep your account and records while you use CareCircle. If you'd like your information deleted, email us and we will remove it, keeping only what we must retain by law.

Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we process it. Email us at info@care-circle.life and we'll help.

CareCircle is for adults. Accounts may only be created by people 18 years or older. You may book care for children, but children themselves do not have accounts.

If we change this policy, we'll update this page with a new date. Continued use of CareCircle after a change means you accept it.
